I would like to thank for you another great school year. As you aware, Mr. Bogren will be retiring after 16 years of dedication and service to Hillside School. In addition, Mrs. Falls is retiring after 32 years of service and dedication to the Hillside students and families. Finally, Mrs. Rymut, is retiring after 26 years in the district in which she served as a library assistant, receptionist, school secretary, and finally administrative assistant to the Superintendent. We would like to wish them the best of luck on the next chapter in their life.

 

The new principal, Mrs. Gainer will start on July 3 and I encourage you to stop by to greet her. Enjoy the summer and see you on the first day of school- Monday, August 28th

 

School Calendar 2017-2018

The 2017-2018 School Calendar is posted on the website at www.hillside93.org.

  • First Day of School August 28- Full Day of Student Attendance
  • New for 2017-2018- Student Attendance Day 8:45 – 3:15 p.m.

 

Summer Camps

Hillside School will be offering several one-week Summer Camps including Volleyball, Soccer and STEM. Please see the flyer that was sent home with your child. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. McGuire, Assistant Principal at 708-449-6490.

 

Summer Hours

Starting on Friday, June 9 until Friday, August 11, the Main and District Office will be open during the following times:

 

Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Friday 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon

 

2017-2018 Student Registration

We encourage you to return the 2017-2018 Student Registration Packet and complete the Online Registration Process ASAP to ensure proper scheduling for next year. This year’s registration fee is $100 per student. Parents/guardians completing the registration process including the online registration process, returning all required forms, and providing proof of residency prior to July 1, 2017 will be eligible for an early registration fee of $50. Per the Administrative Procedures for Board Policy 7:160 Student Residency, all families must provide proof of residency within the district.

 

You can return your completed registration packet including your proof of residency documentation two ways: (1) In the provided registration envelope OR (2) to the Main Office.

 

The Main Office and Administrative Staff will be available to assist with online registration and proof of residency. We will also be offering after school hours to assist with student registration:

 

June 14                      4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
